Derma Stamp: Before and After

Let us guess – you just found a promising new product online, and since nothing else seems to be working, you’re thinking that maybe you should try it. But you’re not quite sure yet, so you wish that you had a crystal ball that could allow you a glimpse into the future, showing you the exact results that you’re going to get with this product. Because let’s face it, you’re tired of trying different things that your skin isn’t really loving; and your bank account is not loving them either! However, if you’re reading this, you somehow came across a derma stamp, and you’re thinking that you may have just found the one! Well, while we don’t exactly have a crystal ball (unfortunately), we do have the next best thing – before and after pictures! So, if you’re still debating whether or not you should ‘add to cart’, take a peek at this article where the results speak for themselves.

Where would the beauty community be without before-and-after pictures, reviews, and testimonials? We would probably be spending our money on scams, knockoffs, and products that are just downright ineffective. Lucky for us, there are people that take the time to write testimonials, make review videos, and people that are dedicated and patient enough to document their experience with a product, to deliver us proof of their changes and results.

All these things play a crucial role when it comes to buying a product. Most of the time, they can either be the thing that convinces us to click ‘Buy Now’, or they can be the one thing that makes us draw back and close the tab.

People Leave Positive Reviews for This Derma Stamp: Before and After

One thing is for sure though, you should never buy a product that you’re not well-informed about! With lots of fake reviews circling around on the internet, it’s easy to get confused or misinformed. If you don’t know much about the product, you can also end up not getting the same results, and thinking you’ve been scammed.

When it comes to using a derma stamp, like any other microneedling tool, it’s important to know how and when to use it. But before we get into the instructions, let’s see how exactly the derma stamp manages to be a powerful tool for the transformation of your skin.

What Happens When You Use a Derma Stamp?

The Derma Stamp: Before and After Tool for Removing Scars

A derma stamp works on the same principal as every other microneedling tool. It’s a small, convenient tool that’s simple and easy to use. It has a comfortable handle that fits perfectly into the hand, and a tip that’s covered in tiny, medical-grade needles (not to be confused with regular, sewing needles). The tips of these needles are microscopically small, so when they penetrate the skin, they don’t cause any visible damage or bleeding. What they do instead is create tiny micro injuries and punctures, and the skin immediately starts working to heal them. This activates the skin’s ability to produce useful proteins that speed up the healing process, and restore the skin’s natural, healthy appearance.

So, what are these proteins? Our body naturally produces a number of hormones and proteins throughout our lives, and each of them plays their own role of importance regarding our health and appearance. One of the most important proteins is collagen. This protein is crucial for our appearance, since it plays a significant role in building and maintaining the health of our skin, nails, and hair.

A Representation of the Molecular Structure of Collagen

What exactly does collagen do for the skin? The body produces the highest levels of collagen when we are young. This protein mainly helps our skin maintain its firmness and elasticity, which is why young people don’t get any wrinkles or saggy skin. When collagen is being produced, it keeps rejuvenating and restoring the skin, which is why it’s also useful for healing blemishes and reducing skin discoloration.

Did you know:

The body’s collagen production levels start dropping after the age of 25, and the first signs of aging appear. After this happens, the only time the skin produces higher levels of collagen is when there is an issue or an injury – something that needs to be fixed.

This is where microneedling steps in. Basically, when dermatologists invented microneedling, they essentially went: “Okay, so we know collagen is the most important thing when it comes to fixing skin issues. We tried making numerous skincare products with collagen as a main ingredient, and although it has proven to be useful to some extent, it just can’t replace the real thing! Collagen is most efficient when it’s naturally produced by the body itself. But, how do we promote higher production levels except for intentionally creating an injury that the skin is going to need to heal?” And this is when the lightbulb moment happened. (Now, we don’t exactly know for sure that this is how it went down, but we’re probably pretty close.) So, they created these practical little devices that are now made safer than ever, and everyone can use at the comfort of their own home.

Even though microneedling tools such as the derma stamp are essentially made to create microscopic punctures and injuries, they are still absolutely safe and easy to use. Of course, first you need to know how to use them correctly.

How to Get the Ultimate Results Using a Derma Stamp?

Using a Derma Stamp Guarantees Successful Before and After Results

Just like with any microneedling tool, when it comes to using a derma stamp, you need to know which needle length best is best suitable for treating your type of skin issue, and how often you should perform the treatment.

Depending on the type of skin concern you’re currently dealing with, the following needle lengths are recommendable:

  • Use 0.25mm for better product absorption
  • Use 0.25mm to 1mm for hyperpigmentation
  • Use 0.5mm to 1mm for uneven skin tone and uneven texture
  • Use 0.5mm to 1.5mm for wrinkles and fine lines
  • Use 0.5mm to 1.5mm for loose skin and sun damage
  • Use 1.0mm to 1.5mm for scarring
  • Use 1.5mm to 2.5mm for stretch marks

Once you know which needle length is suitable for you, the next thing to learn is how often to use your derma stamp.

  • Use it every second day, for 0.25mm needle length
  • Use it 1 to 3 times a week, for 0.5mm needle length
  • Use it once every week, for 1.0mm needle length
  • Use it once every 2 to 3 weeks, for 1.5mm needle length
  • Use it once every 3 to 4 weeks, for 2.0mm to 2.5mm needle length

These are the only guidelines that you need to follow in order to have a successful derma stamping experience. A derma stamp is a pretty simple tool, and it doesn’t leave much room for error. Using it properly is guaranteed to deliver results.

How the Skin Changes After Using a Derma Stamp: Before and After

Now, this is the part that everyone is eager to get to. If you are in the skincare community, you might as well be standing in front of a beauty store, holding up a cardboard sign that says ‘GIVE US BEFORE-AND-AFTER PICS!’.

Well, ask and you shall receive. We have put together a little collection of before-and-after images that show the authentic results that come with using a derma stamp.

  • User Cathy Hepworth went on Twitter to post her results, which she said appeared after using her derma stamp for 2 weeks:

It is noticeable that Cathy experienced some changes in her skin texture, as well as reducing the redness and depth of her scars.

  • This study on microneedling by Gabriella Fabbrocini showcases these before-and-after images of derma stamp users who have noticed visible improvement in their skin. These users documented their progress after just 3 treatments of using a derma stamp with a needle length of 1.5mm.

The study also shows that derma stamping can be beneficial for reducing the appearance of much deeper and larger scars. It is suggested that a derma stamp user can expect a 70% to 80% improvement after 4-6 treatments, 4-8 weeks apart. When working on deeper scars, it is advisable to wait through an extended period of recovering, since healing these scars requires longer needles and causes more trauma to the skin.

  • User Bethany Mallinson was also eager to show her results after getting her share of derma stamping sessions – 3 to be exact.

This is what she had to say about her experience:

“As earlier mentioned, my main concern was the severe acne scarring to my cheeks. These as you can see have dramatically improved. They are no longer huge deep craters in my skin but are much softer and much less noticeable. When I apply make up to these areas it no longer sinks in making the areas even more noticeable, it simply covers the face with an even, smooth finish.”

Bethany also noticed an improvement in the overall appearance of her skin:

“As for the overall condition of my skin, this is what surprised me more than anything. It is fair to say that I was probably more looking out for changes to my scarring and less bothered about any improvement to the condition to my skin, because the scarring had been a huge part of my life that I disliked for so long. So, when people started commenting on my skin’s complexion and how great it was, I was a little baffled. I myself hadn’t really noticed much but after looking back at my earlier photos and examining my skin at present, there was definite change and it was definitely for the better!”

The satisfied user wrapped up her testimonial with a little advice for anyone that’s looking into starting this journey, mentioning that it’s important to have patience:

“I would recommend this treatment to anyone with realistic expectations and who has a commitment to their skincare, knowing that it does not happen overnight.”

  • Another pleased derma stamp user shared her experience in the forum section on A member of the forum by the name of Princessuk wrote that she had started using a derma stamp with a needle length of 1.5mm in hopes to get rid of the scars on her forehead.

I have stamped once so far and I’m going to stamp again at the weekend (6 weeks later). Every night I have been using vitamin C serum and I cleanse with nip and fab glycolic face wash, then tone with nip and fabs bee sting pads. So far, my skin is a lot smoother and personally I think I have slight improvement .

After posting a series of pictures gradually depicting her progress, she finishes sharing her journey, leaving us with a picture of her forehead 2 weeks after her 3 derma stamping session.
